About the event
The National March for Life organization, in cooperation with the Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference and the Family Institute of Connecticut, is holding Connecticut's first official March for Life event on April 15 at the State Capitol. The Catholic Bishops of Connecticut are in full support of this historic undertaking and are hoping for an overwhelming success.
The March will be a time for Connecticut residents to express their support for the life of the unborn and their opposition to euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. Although the issues which the March will address are controversial in our society, people of faith must speak the truth and follow the Gospel imperative to be a light unto the world. We will be joined by our brothers and sisters of all faiths in this major demonstration.
For this event to be successful, I am asking all of our parishes in the Diocese of Bridgeport to designate a contact person who would assist in distributing information about the March and promoting it within the parish. I realize that not all parishes have an active Pro-Life Committee, but a designated contact person is still required. Should you have any questions, please call the CCPAC directly at 860-524-7882.
