Child Faith Formation in Saint Luke Catholic Church
Saint Luke Catholic Church provides instruction for children in grades K-8. Children are formed as intentional disciples of Jesus through the Gospel Weeklies Program. In addition, 7th and 8th grade students will participate in Gifted with the Spirit. Religious Formation programming will also prepare students to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Formation classes are continuous and build one year upon the next. Grade 1 is required for First Eucharist Preparation. Grades 3-6 are required for Grade 7 Confirmation with Grade 6 being Confirmation Prep. Beginning the 2024-2025 school year, Confirmation will now take place in 7th grade. This will be our last year of Confirmation in 8th grade as we transition into 7th grade.
Make up classes are available through our Faith Bridge Program for students who have missed a year or more of formation. Reach out to Jessica Purcell for more information if your child has missed any years of formation. We are currently offering Faith Bridge classes in the summer for any students who have missed a year or more of formation and a winter session from January 2025-April 2025 for students grade 3 and above who need to make First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
